Description:
Handling CAT5 and CAT6 low voltage cable, installing cable on mounted trusses/j-hooks/strut material to connect to servers within a data center. Working inside the plant, may need to work on elevated work surfaces - ladders, scissor lifts, overhead fall protection. Working on your feet for up to 10-12 hours within a working day based on project demands.
Summary:
The Communications Technician I must learn and possess the skills required to function as a contributing member of a technical team. Typically, the Technician I possesses no experience to 1 year of experience in the structured cabling industry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Install a work area outlet for floor (i.e. monument), modular furniture (i.e. surface mount box) and wall (i.e. box eliminator). Drop cable down a wall using fish tape or other method. Route cable through modular furniture. Perform pre-termination procedures: organize, form, dress cables and determine length, slack and label cables. Suspend and support cable correctly: Cable tray, J-hook, D-rings, Bridal rings, Trapeze.
+ Build closets (Mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware). Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.
+ Performs fire-stopping procedures on fire walls, install sleeves, and pull cable through sleeves and core penetration.
+ Terminate low-voltage devices.
+ Fully complete all company paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers and others as required).
+ Adhere to and participate in all company, customer, and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.
+ Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
+ Must be able to work in an outdoor or indoor construction work environment.
+ Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop and implement project process improvement(s).
+ Must promote the company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners.
+ Must possess proven problem solving and critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s).
+ Must have proven skill level or the ability to learn to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements.

The Senior Installation Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of installation duties on technology projects for our clients. This position is the key field position for the bulk of the actual work that gets done in our clients’ buildings. The install tech needs to coordinate with project management, field superintendents and others to fully understand their role on specific projects. They interpret our drawing packages to create the basis of the finished systems. The installation can include rack and enclosure build outs, panel terminations, device installation, testing and troubleshooting. The Senior Tech will be responsible for our most complex system designs, will mentor other technicians and set the example in all aspects of the job.
NOTE: this is an installation tech role supporting one of a number of major, long-term projects at various locations nationally. It is 100% onsite. If you don’t reside in the local area, assistance with travel and lodging expenses will be provided. Relocation benefits are also available.
What will you be doing?
+ You will be expected to know and learn what is on the BOM for every job and know the material required for your job.
+ Maintain timeline of job schedule with regards to when devices/head end work needs to be installed and terminated.
+ If you are not able to maintain a given timeline, it is expected for you to communicate that with the site supervisor ASAP.
+ Take ownership of job schedules for workload given to you.
+ Prioritize your time properly and be able to manage multiple tasks at any given time.
+ Maintain constant communication with the Site Supervisor on a daily basis.
+ Point out any/all problems found on drawings/matrix to Site Supervisor ASAP.
+ Communicate with Site Supervisor ASAP if equipment is missing/defective. Getting replacement inventory may be delayed due to lead times, hence it is very important to notify to appropriate party ASAP.
+ Help Site Supervisor with inventory if and when needed (maintain an online copy on one note)
+ Keep written records of the following on One Note:

**Overview**
GCG is currently seeking an experienced **Vice President of Sales** to join our leadership team and drive business development initiatives into 2025 and beyond.
Reporting to the division president, this strategic leadership role will leverage **deep industry relationships, in-depth familiarity with fiber optic connectivity technologies, and comprehensive understanding of the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program to capture new broadband business and drive significant revenue growth of our network solutions segment.**
This will include overall **P & L accountability, supervision of existing mid-level management, establishment of monthly revenue targets, identification of expansion and new business opportunities, oversight of staffing decisions, and execution of sales strategies based on clearly identified and agreed upon KPI’s** .
The successful candidate possesses exemplary interpersonal, leadership, and change management skills, has experience leading geographically dispersed sales team in the broadband and telecom space, understands how to effectively collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders, and has a proven track record of instilling and upholding accountability with direct and indirect reports.
**This role offers a remote work arrangement however approximately 50% travel will be required to facilitate business development and team leadership activities.**
**What you’ll do**
+ Drive aggressive growth targets to significantly increase revenue through strategic market penetration and team leadership
+ Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies based on thorough understanding of fiber optics technology, broadband infrastructure development, and the BEAD funding allocation process
+ Guide and empower sales directors to motivate our inside and outside sellers in the pursuit of
+ Create and implement strategic account plans for key broadband prospects
+ Build and maintain executive-level relationships with strategic accounts and internal stakeholders
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with operational capabilities
+ Provide regular reporting and forecasting to executive leadership and monitor long-term goal progress
**What you’ll bring**
+ Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field strongly preferred however individuals with combination of experience and education will be considered
+ 7+ years of sales leadership experience at the executive leadership level in a matrixed organization
+ Proven track record of managing change and driving significant revenue growth in the broadband and telecommunications sectors
+ Deep understanding of broadband and telecom markets including BEAD funding allocation processes
+ Established network of industry relationships and proven ability to leverage them for business development
+ Experience leading and developing large sales teams
+ Strong strategic planning and execution capabilities
**What we offer**
+ Competitive compensation package that includes an annual salary ranging from $240,000 and $250,000 as well as bonus incentive based on the segment's financial performance. This range is ultimately determined based on relevant sales leadership experience specifically within the broadband and telecom markets.
