**Job Summary**

Manufacture customized products that meet customer specifications and prepare completed orders for shipment.

**Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities**

+ Examines specifications of the customer’s order using drawings, work orders, or blueprints to determine the characteristics of the finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements.

+ Fabricates work piece as determined by work order specifications. Retrieves correct materials and performs various fabrication duties.

+ Examines work piece visually, by touch, or using tape rule, calipers, or gauges to ensure product meets desired standards.

+ Packages for shipping. Installs protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.

+ Maintains condition of work area (i.e., free of trash, product in correct location, etc.).

+ Follows company safety policies and procedures.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

**Nature and Scope**

+ Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.

+ Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.

+ None.

**Work Environment**

+ Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.

+ Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.

+ Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

**Education and Experience**

+ HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

+ Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures

+ Set up components for welding according to specifications

+ Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded

+ Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces

+ Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws

+ Maintain work area and equipment in a condition that does not compromise 5S initiative and safety

WHAT WE SEEK

+ Proven experience as welder

+ In-Depth knowledge and understanding of TIG Welding Process.

+ Knowledge of Copper and Stainless-Steel material properties.

+ Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)

+ Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings

+ Deftness and attention to detail

+ Proficient in English, being bilingual will be a plus

All Things Metal is a fast-paced environment with an existing culture in a challenging industry. We are looking for individuals to help take us to the next level and that are here to stay. This isn't a temporary position where you'll be laid off in a couple months after you complete a job. We have steady work, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. This position does not require travel outside of AZ and is not per diem.

A Journeyman at All Things Metal is responsible for the accurate erection of structural steel members in accordance with OSHA and AISC guidelines.

This position requires ability to work steel efficiently and accurately to build a level and plumb building in a fast-paced environment.

**A Brief Summary of This Position:**

Valmont Industries is a leader in communications infrastructure solutions including towers, small cell and concealment products. The position of Fabricator will be responsible for the layout, assembly, and finish of architectural structures of various styles used in the telecom industry as concealment for wireless communication equipment. Primary Responsibilities:

+ Performs all-position MIG welding to join steel and aluminum metals from 1/16”- to 1”-thick plate

+ Interprets and carries out work orders, blueprints, sketches and verbal instructions

+ Clamp parts into jigs or holding fixtures

+ Cleans burrs, spatter and weld flux from assemblies

+ Hand-count material for inventory purposes

+ Wears and maintains protective clothing and equipment including a welding helmet, welding gloves, cotton clothing, safety glasses and steel-toe safety shoes

+ Follows all safety practices during assembly and production operations and ensures that work areas are maintained in a safe, clean and orderly manner

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Successfully complete a plant-administered welding test.

+ Regular attendance is essential.

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritating chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.

+ · Understanding of Tekla PowerFab, EPM Go (a plus)

Responsibilities :

+ · Directly supervise fabrication team, and delegate work accordingly to maintain schedule and meet deadlines.

+ · Actively seeks solutions to issues during the fabrication process.

+ · Work directly with fabrication manager to ensure the teams has everything they need to be as efficient as possible.

+ · Responsible for opening the shop daily.

+ · Attend all required meetings.

+ · Perform employee performance reviews, new hire interviews, and disciplinary actions when required.

+ · Maintain safety 100% of the time and enforce required PPE for team members.

+ · Coach and Teach fabrication team.

+ · Uphold all company policies.

+ · Maintain all ATM quality standards.

Basic Job Functions:

Support the fabrication division of Nucor Rebar Fabrication with machine repair, maintenance and trouble shooting. Assist the safety team in the design, development and/or installation of machine guards and safety devices. Advise Branch Manager in machine purchasing and installation.

Must Adhere to Nucor Rebar Fabrication safety programs and OSHA safety standards Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor Rebar Fabrication mission statement. Perform routine maintenance to ensure safe and optimum functioning equipment, systems, and processes. Troubleshoot, repair, and modify equipment to maintain workplace safety and production efficiency. Generate parts lists and labor time estimates for maintenance and repairs. Train key shop teammates on new equipment and/or modifications to existing equipment. Maintain repair records. Perform other duties as required by your supervisor.
