· Must have firsthand knowledge of the manufacturing capabilities in milling, turning, grinding, heat-treating, brazing, and general shop math.

The successful candidate will report to the Machining Supervisor and perform machining duties with the manufacturing environment.

Pay Scale: $19.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience

Shift Hours: 3:15 PM - 11:45 PM

The Role

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a CNC Machinist to work out of its brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Mesa.

The key responsibilities of this CNC Machinist include, but are not limited to:

+ Is knowledgeable in CNC machining and secondary equipment

+ Assists Production Supervisors with all aspects of KPI requirements (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Cost)

+ Active participant and advocate of Lean & 5S culture company wide

+ Follows "in-process" quality inspections and works with team members to ensure total quality

+ Aids in feedback to planning & engineering to optimize productivity

+ Provides translation service for team members when required

+ Ensure usage of correct gaging, hand measuring tools & metrology equipment to deliver the highest possible quality components for our customers

+ Support preventative maintenance of equipment and report machine issues to production supervisor

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a CNC Machinist at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:

+ Minimum 2 years of lathe production experience on CNC & related production equipment

+ Read and understand job layouts, blueprints, schematics and work from written and verbal job instructions on operations

+ Strict time management with self and other employees to support a productive work environment. This includes providing hourly production stats to shift supervisor & implementing quick corrective actions to help team members reach their goals

+ Excellent attendance

+ Ability to communicate with and collaborate with team members

+ Intermediate computer skills

What will you be doing?

+ Setup and operate multiple machines simultaneously;

+ Checks parts to maintain quality production;

+ Trains / Assists other team members on tasks as required;

+ Performs regular manual tasks;

+ Insures that output normally equals or exceed that expected;

+ Keeps quality up to acceptable standards with little discrepant work;

+ Performs tasks equal to or exceeding established standards;

+ Working consistently, working overtime and traveling as required;

+ Ability to react to change productively and perform other essential tasks assigned;

+ May fill in for area lead as required

What do you bring?

+ Mill Turn and Swiss machine knowledge and experience required;

+ Knowledge of various CNC lathe / Mills machining including set-ups and programming fundamentals;

+ Adequate manual dexterity to safely and proficiently perform pre-setups or set-ups of certain job operations on Mill Turn, Swiss and CNC lathes / mills;

+ Must have, or obtain, first piece inspection stamp;

+ Able to read and interpret drawings;

+ Experience with, or demonstrated understanding of, machining process automation;

+ Understands basics of machine shop / material planning;

+ Ability to read, write and follow written and verbal instructions in English;

+ Ability to work with a number sequence;

+ Ability to work well with only a modest amount of repeated instructions;

+ Be team oriented and possess flexibility and adaptability
