Job Description
Participates in the development, implementation and coordination of the Academic Success Programs which contribute to student success and prepare students for the rigors of college coursework. Contributes to the quality of the learning environment by contributing to the educational experience that fosters student success and retention.
In this role, you will engage directly with students in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. The environment is focused on individualized learning, allowing for one-on-one interactions that cater to each student's unique needs. You will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and contribute to the academic growth of each student, fostering an encouraging and positive space for learning.
Recruitment and Recruitment Event Coordination - 40%
• Coordinate Honors Ambassador attendance at various recruitment events.
• Identify, and represent NAU Honors at, local/state/regional/national college fairs and other recruiting events.
• Identify and represent Honors at NAU-sponsored on-campus and off-campus recruiting events such as Discover NAU, Daily Campus Visits, remote Honors info sessions, off campus HS visits, and HS Counselor events.
• Develop and maintain Honors recruitment presentations, College SWAG, and print collateral.
• Assist in Honors Admission selection process.
Advising Coordination - 40%
• Oversee Honors Explorations.
• Liaison with University Advising.
• Maintain list of discontinued Honors students.
• Develop and update Honors Curriculum Progression plans and workshops.
• Communicate with students about progress through Honors curriculum such as Junior audits, New Student Orientation, and other initiatives.
Student Supervision - 10%
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise Student Honors Ambassadors, Honors College's student recruitment team, and develop two student leaders of the group.
Other -5%
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• Associates or undergraduate Bachelor's degree
• 2-4 years of relevant experience
• Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's Degree.
• Some fluency in Spanish.
• Some experience with student recruitment or advising.

• Working knowledge and understanding of student persistence, learning capacities, and skill in designing and
• implementing valid tools to assess those outcomes.
• Knowledge of higher education in the areas of academic success initiatives or similar administrative or teaching

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Driving Requirement
Driving a vehicle on behalf of the university is anticipated to be a regular part of this position. Arizona Administrative Code Fleet Safety Policy requires all employees who drive on university business become authorized by submitting Driver's license information for driving record monitoring, and completion of training appropriate to the level of driving performed. The law applies to all faculty, staff, and students who drive personal or university-owned motorized vehicles for any business purpose. This position has been identified as a safety/security sensitive position. Therefore, per AZ Revised Statute, Northern Arizona University requires satisfactory results for the following: a criminal background investigation, employment history investigation, degree verification (in some cases) and fingerprinting. Salary
Anticipated salary range is $44,057 - $51,776. Annual salary commensurate with candidate's qualifications and related experience.
FLSA Status
This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and therefore will not earn overtime or compensatory time for additional time worked.

This is a Classified Staff (CLS) position.
