Dignity Health Mercy San Juan Medical Center is a 384-bed not-for-profit Level 2 Trauma Center located in Carmichael California. We have served north Sacramento County as well as south Placer County for over 50 years. Our facility is one of the area's largest medical centers and also one of the most comprehensive. Mercy San Juan Medical Center is a Comprehensive Stroke Center as well as a Spine Center of Excellence. **Responsibilities**

To qualify for this position a High School diploma or equivalent education and/or experience is preferred. Training and experience required for this position demonstrates the knowledge of: proper cleaning sanitation infectious waste floor and carpet care including knowledge of aseptic procedures detergent/germicide solution and proper use and cleaning of equipment proper use of safety standards and procedures in housekeeping skills.

The incumbent performs cleaning sanitation and other environmental duties involved in hospital maintenance.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ Basic housekeeping practices and procedures, Proper handling/disposal of infectious waste, Proper safety skills in handling of housekeeping chemicals and equipment, Basic floor care practices

+ Knowledge of proper cleaning, sanitation, infectious waste, floor and carpet care including knowledge of aseptic procedures, detergent/germicide solution and proper use and cleaning of equipment, proper use of safety standards and procedures in housekeeping skills.

Preferred:

+ High school diploma or equivalent

**Pay Range**

$27.26 - $31.04 /hour
