Summary You will serve as an Emergency Dispatcher in the Provost Marshal Office of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION YUMA. Responsibilities You will perform technical and specialized emergency dispatch work by receiving, processing and dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls for Fire, Medical, Provost Marshal and Aircraft Fire and Fire Fighting department. You will be responsible for dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls for Range management personnel traveling to an from the Chocolate Mountain and Barry Goldwater ranges. You will be responsible for providing emergency and non-emergency communications for emergency service operations. You will coordinate search and rescue missions. You will coordinate MCAS Fire Inspector responses to fire alarms and hot work locations. You will provide technical assistance to all duty shift departments for their locations. You will work with the tower to dispatch emergency ARFF and Civilian Fire Units to aircraft emergencies on the flight line. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following Emergency Dispatcher duties: 1) Dispatching emergency vehicles; 2) Performing incoming and outgoing multi-phone line operations; 3) Assessing incoming emergency calls with Standard Operating Procedures or guidelines to determine the proper course of action; and 4) Dispatching in a high volume/urgent environment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee.
