Summary You will serve as an Emergency Dispatcher in the Provost Marshal Office of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION YUMA. Responsibilities You will perform technical and specialized emergency dispatch work by receiving, processing and dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls for Fire, Medical, Provost Marshal and Aircraft Fire and Fire Fighting department. You will be responsible for dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls for Range management personnel traveling to an from the Chocolate Mountain and Barry Goldwater ranges. You will be responsible for providing emergency and non-emergency communications for emergency service operations. You will coordinate search and rescue missions. You will coordinate MCAS Fire Inspector responses to fire alarms and hot work locations. You will provide technical assistance to all duty shift departments for their locations. You will work with the tower to dispatch emergency ARFF and Civilian Fire Units to aircraft emergencies on the flight line. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: 1) GS-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of general experience in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled: 1) Operating radio communication equipment; 2) Receiving incoming telephone or alarm systems calls; and 3) Maintaining logbooks/records. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
