Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a Quality Analyst. This position is located in Charlottesville, VA.
In this role you will be supporting our quality assurance team responsible for purchased, insource and internal manufactured material verification. You will be required to interface with internal engineering resources as well as material suppliers to ensure critical features and performance characteristics are included in the product verification process. You will develop and maintain inspection plans and other departmental process control documents, analyze various processes within the departments and work with the team to evaluate current tools and techniques for potential upgrade/replacement.
**What You'll Get To Do:**
Utilize material forecast tools to proactively develop inspection documentation before material arrives
Analyze and incorporate vendor performance and material criticality into inspection plans
Analyze performance data and provide recommendations for corrective actions
Develop, organize, and administer standard training documents for various inspection activities (Mechanical, Quality Notifications, etc. processes)
Develop departmental CAD layouts
Evaluate current inspection techniques/tools and make recommendations for replacement by newer technology
May be called on to perform inspections during high workload periods
Other duties as assigned
**Basic Qualifications for Level 2 Quality Analyst:**
+ High School Diploma and 6+ years of experience with mechanical inspection, manufacturing, or supply chain or an Associate’s degree with 4+ years of mechanical inspection, manufacturing, or supply chain or a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years with mechanical inspection, manufacturing, or supply chain
+ Ability to move and position objects weighing up to 35 pounds
+ Ability to communicate over ambient noise level
+ U.S. citizenship
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) government secret security clearance
**Preferred Qualifications** **for Level 2 Quality Analyst** **:**
+ AS degree or higher
+ GD&T knowledge
+ 3D model Interrogation experience
+ J-STD, IPC 610, IPC 620 experience
+ Experience with AS9100D auditor
+ Experience with 5S/6S
+ Experience in quality or machining
+ Experience working with SAP/MES interfaces
+ Siemens NX experience/Siemens Teamcenter
+ Experience developing inspection plans and/or manufacturing work instructions
+ Experience with tableau data visualization platform, Microsoft Power Business Intelligence Suite

**Salary Range:** $63,800 - $95,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
