    Summary

    The Operations Nuclear Training Instructor develops, maintains and delivers accredited training courses for employees in plant Operations at Palo Verde that comply with applicable NRC regulations and are consistent with INPO Accreditation Objectives and Criteria.

    Minimum Requirements

    Nuclear Tra ining Instructor:

    Hi gh school diploma/GED plus four (4) years of direct job-related technical nuclear plant Operations experience (commercial, military or test reactor) and/or in Operations Training positions (commercial, military or test reactor).

    Nuclear Training Instructor Sr:

    High school diploma/GED and must hold or have held a Senior Reactor Operator/Reactor Operator (SRO/RO) license or SRO certification plus four (4) years experience in Operations and/or Operations Training positions (commercial, military or test reactor). Selected candidate will be required to obtain an SRO certification within six months.

    Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications:

    Experience with the Systematic Approach to Training.

    Experience in Naval Nuclear Power Training.

    Experience as a Naval Master Training Specialist.

    Experience with an Operations accredited training program.

    Experience as a Navy Engineering Watch Supervisor (EWS) and/or Engineering Officer of the Watch (EOOW).

    Nuclear requirement:

    Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and will be expected to fulfill their obligation as an ERO member.

Leidos is the prime contractor providing flight training, simulation training, classroom instruction and schoolhouse support activities including the One Army School System (OASS) integration, and Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) maintenance for platforms and simulation devices in use or anticipated to be in use by the Army National Guard.

    **What’s in it for you?**

    Leidos is hiring an Maintenance Academic Instructor course instruction for MOS/ASI producing enlisted courses, professional military education courses for enlisted service members, and academic courses for LUH-72 and UH-60 aircraft qualification, qualification transition, instructor pilot qualification, and maintenance test pilot qualification courses. All contractor Instructor will adhere with the unit instructor certification program IAW TRADOC series 350 regulations.     + Conduct daily academic instruction on regulations, publications, aircraft systems, and aircraft maintenance in accordance with approved Training Support Packages (TSPs).
